The California Power Exchange issued the following press release this evening,
announcing plans to begin downsizing its operations.

Please be assured that we remain fully capable of assisting you and your
company
during this time of transition.

On Tuesday, January 23, 2001, we plan to have a participants' conference call
at
which time we expect to have to more details, and will be available to answer
any questions. Conference call details will be sent on Monday, January 22,
2001.
