After the summer recess, the Assembly Natural Resources Committee is going
to hear SB 532 (Sher) which would establish a Renewable Portfolio Standard for all retail energy providers, including ESPs, in California beginning in 2003. The IOUs will likely oppose the bill. The bill is being sponsored by TURN and the environmentalists.
