< The client/attorney tournament described by Summer Shaw will be at
< the Whispering Pines Golf Club recently built by long-time firm client,
< Corbin J. Robertson, Jr. The course already is being described as one of
< the most beautiful in the United States.
< Whispering Pines Golf Club will be the site of The Spirit, The
< International Amateur Golf Championship. Todd Greenwalt spoke at a recent
< firm luncheon about securing tax-exempt status for the organization that
< will sponsor the tournament. The first of The International Golf
< Championship tournaments will be held October 17-21, 2001, and every other
< year thereafter at Whispering Pines. The men's and women's national
< amateur champion and runnerup from 36 countries are expected to
< participate in the first Championship.
< All partners are encouraged to plan to play and to invite clients to
< enjoy this opportunity.
