NATURAL GAS / OIL Report:

Southern Natural Gas Company, CP02-1-000/CP02-2-000 -- Southern filed for the necessary FERC certificate and abandonment authorizations for its South System Expansion II Project. To accomodate shipper requests for new firm transporation services for 359,891 Mcf per day, Southern proposes to construct Phase I facilities with an in-service date of June 1, 2003 to provide 320,714 Mcf per day of Transportation Demand for shippers Southern Company Services, Calpine Energy Service, L.P., Effingham County Power, L.L.C., City of Austell, Georgia, Morgan Stanley, Proctor & Gamble, and Kimberly-Clark. Phase II facilities to provide 39,177 Mcf per day of Transportation Demand subscribed to by SCANA Resources, Inc. will be constructed with an in-service date of May 1, 2004.

Portland Natural Gas Transmission System, RP02-13-000 (10/1/01) -- Portland filed a Section 4 general rate increase to conform its rates to its increased revenue requirement following its initial three years of operation. Portland proposes to increase firm and interruptible transportation rates to generate $66 million in additional revenues.

Crossroads Pipeline Company, RP02-14-000 (10/1/01) -- Pursuant to the Commission's directive in a September 7, 2001 order, Crossroads filed marked and unmarked versions of its FERC Gas Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1. Crossroads originally filed its new revised tariff (without a marked version) on August 9, 2001 to conform its tariff more closely to the tariff format of affiliate Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation and to facilitate standardization of business practices and the ability of the pipelines to utilize common computer systems to the maximum extent possible.
