SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-October 24, 2001--American Fire Retardant Corp. =
(OTCBB:AFRC),(www.americanfireretardant.com), a fire protection company tha= t specializes in fire prevention and fire containment for the safety of liv= es in our community and businesses, announced today that the Company has st= arted the mobilization to start fireproofing Barona Hotel and Casino in Cal= ifornia and Neiman Marcus in Florida and also the successful completion of = a $278,000 contract for fireproofing the Sheraton Hotel in Petaluma, CA. T= he total value of the contracts for those three jobs is $808,000. The Barona Hotel and Casino, with a contract value of $425,000, should be a= very profitable job due to the fact that it is less than seven miles from = AFRC's headquarters, thus avoiding all travel costs normally involved with = jobs of this size. Mr. Owens also stated that the Company is presently working on several othe= r small projects in at the same time in Florida, Colorado, and Texas.
