FIRSTENERGY: 425-MW OHIO PEAKING PLANT DUE UP FOR SUMMER

FirstEnergy Corp. expects to have a new 425-megawatt peaking power plant in
northern Ohio ready for commercial operations soon, a company spokeswoman
said Friday.

PSE&G/RATES - 2: PSEG COULD BUILD 340 MW IN CALIFORNIA BY AUTUMN

Unregulated units PSEG Power and PSEG Global are expected to anchor the
company's growth with the construction of new power plants in the U.S. and
abroad, the executives said.

FEDERAL OFFICIALS APPROVE POWER PRICE CONTROLS FOR CALIFORNIA

Federal regulators Wednesday ordered limited price controls for California's
electricity market that will kick in when a shortage of power threatens to
plunge the state into an emergency.

BUSH EXPLORING POWER PLANT BOOSTS

The Bush administration and congressional Republicans are exploring ways to
boost production from California's small, alternative-energy power plants,
many of which have shut down because they weren't getting paid.

PRAISES SUNG FOR NEW POWER PLANT; COAL-FIRED FACILITY IS FIRST ALLOWED IN 20
YEARS

Coal industry and union representatives Thursday pointed to a planned $137
million power plant in Logan County as an example of how Illinois coal can
become an environmentally friendly and inexpensive energy source.

EXCO RESOURCES INC. - COMPLETES $51.3 MILLION ACQUISITION OF ADDISON ENERGY
INC.

EXCO Resources, Inc. announced that it completed the previously announced
acquisition of Addison Energy Inc., a private Canadian oil and gas company
headquartered in Calgary.
