Today's market action was as exciting as the Superbowl. OK maybe that's overstating it. However, it was a very interesting day. The market whipsawed all day long before finally closing slightly lower. The big news in the pre-market was Ciena (CIEN 9.00 -1.12) warning by a pretty wide margin which hurt the networkers all day long. Also, a weak earning report from Sprint PCS (PCS 10.99 -2.77) weighed heavily on the wireless space as many names made new 52-wk lows: NXTL -26%, TPC -12%, WWCA -9%. The Nasdaq set a low not seen since Nov 12..Despite the bad news, the market soon moved higher, then lower on poor job data, then higher again.
