The blue chip rally never really developed any upside momentum today as evidenced by the very choppy trading pattern. While the tech dominated Nasdaq has outperformed, the key leadership group (semiconductor) has come under some profit taking pressure. It is still firmly positive, however, as are other tech sectors (storage, wireless, networking, software) but given the lack of momentum and the limited volume that accompanied the move, there is some concern as to wether the market averages will be able build on today's recovery attempt.
