The <b<Federal Energy Regulatory Commission meets</b< on Tuesday. One of the issues on the FERC's agenda is a <b<complaint filed against the California Independent System Operator</b<. Some companies allege the ISO is giving the California Department of Water Resources preferential market treatment in its new role as California's main power purchaser. We'll bring you the latest from the FERC on Tuesday. <p<ENL's Washington bureau will also cover the <b<release of the North American Electric Reliability Council's Winter Assessment</b< on Tuesday. The new NERC report will be released at 9:30 a.m. ET from the National Press Club in Washington. <p<Also on Tuesday, ENL's Alison Kosik will bring us more from the <b<Department of Energy's Clean Coal Technology Conference</b< in Washington. The event focuses on the <b<latest in clean coal innovation</b< and the prospects for coal-fired generation in the U.S. <p<Houston Correspondent Kim Benestante reports, many companies feel <b<wild price swings could be eliminated with more accurate weather predictions</b<. On Tuesday, Kim talks with <b<Reliant Energy</b< about steps that can be taken to minimize weather risks. <p<<b<Ivanhoe Energy Vice President of Investor Relations John MacDonald</b< talks with our Houston bureau about plans his company has for <b<Gas-to-Liquids production</b<. This type of motor fuel is odorless and emissions-free.
